Dear aviation enthusiast,

http://www.airventure.org/2008/events/airshows.htmlWhat does the word “Oshkosh” mean to you?

I hear time and time again from AirVenture regulars and first-timers alike that, to truly understand what AirVenture is, you’ve got to be there. The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration simply defies description. But whether you’re a seasoned veteran or an AirVenture dreamer, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the video, Oshkosh: The Spirit of Aviation, which relates the essence of not only AirVenture, but EAA as well. This 18-minute production, narrated by Harrison Ford, captures some of AirVenture’s unique sights, sounds, and thrills.

Even if you’ve never attended EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, you’ve heard the stories, read the reviews, and my guess is, it’s on your short list of things to do.

http://www.airventure.org/2008/events/theater.htmlWell, this is your year! AirVenture 2008 is shaping up to be a not-to-be-missed event, packed with exciting announcements, unique and one-of-a-kind aircraft, a showcase of aviation innovation, the world’s largest aviation shopping mall (more than 700 exhibitors!), 10,000 aircraft, daily air shows featuring the world’s top performers, more than 500 forums, workshops, and presentations, and fun and excitement for the whole family.

And the value of AirVenture keeps getting better. This year we’ll be kicking off opening day with a concert on AeroShell Square, sponsored by Ford Motor Company, featuring Foreigner! With memorable hits like Cold As Ice, Feels Like the First Time, Hot Blooded, Juke Box Hero, and Head Games, they’re sure to kick off AirVenture in rock-solid style.

This year, we’re pleased to welcome popular comedian, EAA member, and RotorWay helicopter builder, Jeff Dunham, to the stage, as well as actor Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band, and so much more.

When the sun goes down each evening, the Ford Fly-In Theater will once again present your favorite feature-length aviation movies.

And for those camping in Camp Scholler or with their aircraft in the North 40, we now have expanded complimentary WiFi coverage!
